Funding in Western Australia (WA)
There are (2) two types of funding available to assist residents of Western Australia get the best training. WA priority training and State granted scholarships.
Western Australia Priority Industry Training (PIT)
Priority Industry Training (PIT) provides eligible participants with subsidised training opportunities under Jobs and Skills WA. Priority training areas include apprenticeships, eligible traineeships, and priority industry qualifications.
Jobs and Skills WA also subsidises other important industry qualifications like pre-apprenticeships, general industry training courses, foundation and equity courses.
Funding is determined by area/zone of the candidate. The base rate for funding is a per hour rate (hourly rates based on Nominal hours per qualification).
Eligibility for PIT funding
The candidate must be one of the following:
- An Australian citizen
- A permanent Visa holder or holder of Visa subclass 309, 820 or 826
- Dependent or spouse of the primary holder of a Visa subclass 457
Courses funded under PIT
- ICT20319 – Certificate II in Telecommunications Technology
- ICT20319 – Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology
