The optical fibre splicing course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to splice and terminate optical fibre cable within an optical telecommunications transmission environment.
This is a Telstra accredited course providing learners with the necessary skills to work in accordance with Telstra requirements.
This course is suitable for nbn™ contractors performing handling, cleaning, splicing and terminating of fibre telecommunications cables installed in underground pipes, trenches and overhead systems.
Upon successful completion of this training program, you will awarded the following unit(s) of competency:
ICTCBL330 – Splice and terminate optical fibre cable for telecommunications projects
ICTTEN318 – Inspect, clean and handle optical fibre cable and connectors
Our locations include Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, Adelaide, Darwin, Perth and other major regional centres throughout Australia. In-house training is available on request.
