Students learn about optical fibre cabling, including the identification of different forms of optical fibre cable. Study and understand the way optical cable and fibre work. Students get hands on training in safe handling procedures, installation and termination, splicing and jointing methods. Course participants experience and use a variety of test equipment and are guided through the process of testing and interpreting results.
We recommended that learners also complete the Open Cabler Registration course. Upon successful completion of both the coaxial and Optical Fibre Cabling courses, learners may be eligible to apply for the mandatory specialist competency (previously known as endorsement) required to undertake optical fibre cabling work.
Call the office on 1800672933 to take advantage of our endorsement package which includes structured cabling, fibre and coaxial cabling for just $925.
Although there are no prerequisite requirements to achieve this unit of competency, it is recommended that learners also complete the Open Cabler Registration course.
