Aerial Cabling (ACMA Aerial Endorsement)
The Aerial Cabling course has been designed to meet the requirements of the ACMA Aerial Endorsement, as well as nbn Technical Skill Accreditation 16 (Install/replace above ground cable). It covers the skills and knowledge required to install aerial cable and aerial cable supports in domestic, commercial or industrial communications applications. It is designed for technical staff installing aerial cable for customers and carrier networks.
Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements apply to telecommunications worker, so any work functions in the occupational areas where this unit may be used are subject to regulatory requirements. All customer cabling work in the telecommunications, fire, security and data industries must be performed by a an ACMA Registered Cabler. All cablers are required to register with an ACMA-accredited Registrar.
This course will be delivered over two face-to-face training days at one of JB Hunter’s training centres. Private courses can be run on-site if requested, provided the site meets the requirements for practical course delivery.

There are no prerequisites for this course. However, JB Hunter suggests that students undertaking this course have an understanding of general industry safety requirements (White Card or similar) as well as Heights safety and ladder safety. This course involves physical activities and participants must have the physical capability to perform such tasks.

With the exception of qualifications, students have 3 months from commencement of training, to complete all learning and demonstrate competence. After this time the enrolment will be cancelled.
