South Australia (SA) WorkReady Funding

WorkReady is a South Australian government initiative that brings together funding for training, employment and skills activities. WorkReady targets training and employment opportunities to the needs of people, strategic industries and regions. Before being enrolled in a government subsidised training place, students will need to meet course entry requirements and verify their eligibility for enrolment.

Eligibility for WorkReady funding:South Australia (SA)

  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen, or
  • A permanent Australian resident, or
  • The holder of an eligible Visa

You also need to be one of the following:

  • Aged sixteen (16) years or over and not enrolled at school, or
  • Aged sixteen (16) years or over, enrolled in school and undertaking training through the Training Guarantee for SACE Students (TGSS), or
  • Undertaking training through a training contract as an apprentice or trainee in identified courses.

Eligible individuals may be able to access:

  • One (1) foundation skills course (if you are assessed to need it)
  • Up to five (5) bridging units at every qualification level (if assessed to need them)
  • Unlimited priority courses
