I&M work refers the installation and maintenance of copper services including telephony, broadband, unconditional local loop and jumper tasks between exchanges and the customer premises.

Training
To undertake this type of work you will need to undertake occupational health and safety, copper jointing and cabling registration training.

NBN Safety & Awareness Course
Basic Copper Jointing
Open Cabler Registration
You can also meet these requirements by completing a Certificate II in Telecommunications tailored for I&M work.
