You will need :

• A desktop or laptop (notebook) with Windows 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7 PC with sufficient ram and processor to be reasonably responsive, or a Mac running OS X or above (both with sound, speakers)

• Broadband connection to the Internet

• Two Browsers: IE8 and Mozilla Firefox 3 or above for optimum viewing.

• Email program such as Microsoft Outlook, Hotmail etc

• A printer to print training course notes

• Programs: Current versions of Adobe Reader ( to be able to read pdf notes) and Adobe Flash Player (to be able to see content)

You will need :

• a ream of paper for 'The Wiring Rules' - see column to the right), training course notes and assessments.

  

• a ring binder for containing the series of training course notes that you will download at the beginning of  all modules. NOTE: You will need to bring this folder with all course notes and assessments when attending the practical assessment component applicable to your course.

  

You will need :

1) Click on the copy of "The Wiring Rules" (176 pages) to download:

2) Click on the "Basic DC Principles" below (Background Knowledge and recommended reading)

3) A copy of all course notes, completed assessments and the Wiring Rules for your ring binder.

Structured Cabling

You will need :
