Online Joint Copper Cable - ICTCBL2016A
This unit applies the skills required to safely join the copper conductors of both internal and external cables together within a customer premises and applies to both customer premises cabling and customer premises equipment located within that customers defined property boundary.
The Online Joint Copper Cable Course consists of two parts:
a) 6 Online Modules - Introduction to Telstra Network; Jointing and Work Site Preparation; Cables, Joints, Tools and Equipment; Cable Termination and Testing; Customer Lightning Protection and Remote Power Feed.
b) 1 day practical competency assessment will be conducted at a JB Hunter training venue. The assessment will include a written examination and practical skills exercises that will determine that you are competent.

Please note that in order to joint cables within the Carrier Network environment (e.g. Telstra Network), you will instead need to complete our Telstra Accredited Basic Copper Jointing course (10 days).
Pre-Requisites: Successful completion of Open Cabler Registration training.
