Network Equipment
This course provides Learners with skills and knowledge required to effectively install and test telecommunications network equipment, install supporting infrastructure for telecommunications equipment and associated hardware equipment. It includes processes for checking plans, obtaining and proper handling of equipment and supplies, carrier grade switching, transmission and access equipment and associated media, power and monitoring equipment and alarm systems.
On successful completion Learners will be able to plan for installation of telecommunications network equipment, install network hardware and cabling, install equipment accessories, configure and test the system, clean up worksite, complete documentation, supervise DC power distribution and install power infrastructure.
The unit of competency ICTTEN302 in ICT30515- Certificate III in Telecommunications.
