This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge to splice and terminate optical fibre cable within an optical telecommunications transmission environment.

Training Recommendation
Although there are no prerequisite requirements to achieve this unit of competency, it is recommended that learners also complete the Open Cabler Registration course. Upon successful completion of both the Open Cabler Registration and Optical Fibre Cabling courses, learners may be eligible to apply for the mandatory specialist competency (previously known as endorsement) required to undertake optical fibre cabling work.
